Eastern flavor, the great unknown

The rutabaga is a root very refreshing and slightly sweet, made up almost 90% of water and very low-calorie , about 25 kcal. per 100 grams. It also provides carbohydrates, vitamins B1 and B2 , vitamin C , folic acid, minerals (calcium, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium ...) and fiber .

In the kitchen we can give you many applications, both raw and cooked. It is very common in mashed, in stews and soups is terrific gratin with parmesan, and simply sauteed with some oil and spices. It goes very well in salads grated or sticks, and also to make croquettes or working similar.
